Houston practices Real Estate Law; Estate Planning/Wills/Trusts; Probate Law; Business Law; Civil Litigation; Education Law; & Juvenile Representation. He is a member of the American, Tennessee, and Nashville Bar Associations.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University and his Juris Doctor from Belmont University College of Law.
While at Belmont Law, Houston participated in the following organizations & activities:
-Belmont Law Board of Advocates, serving on the Bylaw Committee and the Mock Trial Team-Belmont Law Toastmasters Chapter-Belmont Legal Aid Society-Belmont College of Law American Inn of Court Chapter
Because he believes that awareness of mental health issues is of vital importance, he proudly serves on the Education Committee for Mental Health America of Middle Tennessee.
Houston was a co-founder and the charter President of the Next Generation Heritage Board of Williamson County, involving young people in historic preservation. During his term as President, Next Gen was instrumental in re-opening and restoring the legendary Franklin Theatre.
Houston was a PENCIL Foundation volunteer for two years before beginning law school, reading with elementary-age children who needed a little help and encouragement.
Houston is a proud 1996 graduate of Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, Tennessee and was a charter member of their Young Alumni Board. He also served on the main Alumni Board in 2016-2017.
Besides the practice of law, Houston's passions include politics, civil rights, literature, his wife and daughter, the Tennessee Volunteers, the Nashville Predators, the Tennessee Titans, and involvement in the Nashville community.
